2012 SHRED! freestyle course dates..

We hope you've all had a great Christmas,

We have evening courses running on Monday evenings throughout the first couple of months of 2012..

The dates are as follows..

January Mondays 9th and 30th

February Mondays 6th and 27th

March Mondays 5th and 26th

SHRED! Freestyle coaching courses are ideal if you have been Skiing or Snowboarding

for a while, Can competently turn down the piste, perhaps tried some switch riding and basic flatland moves and looking to progress further onto hitting boxes/rails and kickers.

We like to run our courses on the quieter evenings at SNO!zone MK and we use a special private park setup. This is because we feel this is a better way to learn and progress your freestyle riding with out the pressure of other riders on the busier nights.

The courses are priced at £60 for 3 hours.

SCUK members get a 10% discount..

Half term Shred kids camp review...

Last week was half term in MK, and SHRED! freestyle camps held another week long camp jam packed with ski and snowboard coaching and fun afternoon activities.

Myself and Nick hope all the guys had a great week, We both certainly had a great time coaching you all.
Soon to follow we will have the video edit from the week, but till then heres a few snaps from the week..

SHRED! coaching at Parkstrife MK 1st Oct..

This weekend the SHRED! coaching team where at the Parkstrife Event at SNO!zone MK,
Offering free coaching tips for the first 8 skiers and boarders who pre booked there place for the night.

The course was fully booked up with 15 riders all taking advantage of the specially set out rookie park on the left hand slope, we had a big black gas pipe a flat box , rainbow box and a kicker to ride.

It was great to meet everyone who came on the session, I hope you all had a great time.

A big thank you to SNO!zone,Protest,Head and now DVS rider Becky Menday for coming along to offer some of your expertise.

SNO!park MK local Becky Menday....

This weekend SNO!park MK local and SNO!zone sponsored rider Becky Menday travelled up to Castleford for the Brits indoor championships.
Becky took 2nd place in the youth category and also qualified through in 2nd place to the adult finals, but after taking a fall on her box run place 4th overall.

She pulled a selection of tricks including cab 180s to nose press and a few pretzels out.

The overall youth results where..
1st place - Katie Omerod
2nd place - Becky Menday
3rd place Natalie Silkstone.

Becky then went on that evening to ride at The 1st Burton Hi 5 of the season at Tamworth and took 1st place in the youth category and made it to the final 5 women and then ended in 2nd place in the overall age category.

She got some cool 180s on and off th side hit street rail and styled out nose slides through the side hit down flat down.

SHRED! Kids camp October half term....

Half term will soon be here....
Are you kids gonna be driving you crazy running riot around the house?
Or maybe you need somewhere for them to go while your at work?

If your kids are already competent skiers or boarders and are looking to progress into freestyle riding then SHRED! kids camps are what you need.

The next camp is the week of the 24th - 28th October.
Each day will consist of Freestyle Ski or Board Coaching in the mornings
followed by a different afternoon activity.
Lunch is included and the day runs from 8.30 till 5.30.

Please note due to the cold weather wake boarding will be changed to a different activity.

This summer SHRED MK are offering a week of freestyle coaching at SNO!zone MK.
Its set to run the week of the 22nd to the 26th of August with jam packed mornings of freestyle SKI and SNOWBOARD coaching and afternoons full of fun activities...

The week will look like this..

Monday- Intros and Park safety.. Goal setting for the week.. Then Cinema
Tuesday- Rail and Kicker development..Then Airkix
Wednesday- Rail and Kicker development...Then Bowling.
Thursday- Working on style an flow.. Then Wake boarding at Wake MK WILLEN LAKE.
Friday- Jam style mini competition..Then Climbing..
